About the Role
Front-End Drivers operate front-end trucks to provide waste and recyclable collection services for multi-family residential and commercial routes. In fulfillment of customer contracts, you will service multiple customers daily, removing waste and transporting it to the appropriate station, landfill, or drop-off location.
Working Conditions
This is an outdoor position requiring work in all weather conditions, including rain, storms, and extreme heat or cold. The environment is frequently loud and may expose you to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and airborne particles. You will work away from the branch location on a continuous basis throughout the day, navigating motor vehicle traffic and occasionally working in high or precarious places.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDrive commercial frontload trucks along designated routes to collect solid waste and recyclables
- check_circleOpen container enclosures and roll cans into position for dumping
- check_circlePerform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and submit condition reports
- check_circleManeuver truck into and out of minimum clearance spaces using mirrors and GPS
- check_circleMonitor operations to detect loose debris and visually scan customer sites before and after dumping
- check_circleInteract courteously with customers and notify supervisors of issues requiring management action
- check_circleClean loose trash from truck and ground to maintain site safety and cleanliness
- check_circleFollow safe operating practices including lock out/tag out procedures and safety standards
- check_circleMaintain and submit logbooks, route sheets, and vehicle condition reports as required
Requirements
