About the Role
The Tractor Trailer Driver is responsible for operating a tractor-trailer truck on an assigned route to service customers safely and efficiently. This role is critical to our waste management operations, ensuring the timely collection of solid waste and recyclables and their delivery to landfills, Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs), or transfer stations.
As a driver, you will be the face of the company in the communities you serve. You will maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with customers and the general public, ensuring route quality standards are met. The position requires a commitment to safety, requiring strict adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding vehicle operation and equipment handling.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOperate tractor-trailer truck and on-board hydraulic systems to collect solid waste and recyclables
- check_circleMaintain route quality standards and improve routing efficiencies with supervisor
- check_circleReport all accidents or incidents to supervisors immediately
- check_circleMaintain accurate records of services performed and attend safety meetings
- check_circleComplete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, daily truck reports, and route sheets
- check_circleProvide customer service representative with trailer number and net weight after dumping
- check_circleCommunicate vehicle mechanical problems to mechanics and supervisors immediately
- check_circleWear required personal protective equipment including gloves, vest, and safety glasses
- check_circleClean cab interior and exterior of vehicle to maintain cleanliness standards
- check_circleSecure loads by checking tarp closure and ensuring no loose trash is visible
- check_circleEmpty trailer contents completely at landfill, MRF, or transfer station
