About the Role
As a Driver – CDL (B), you will be the face of Republic Services in your community, responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. This role is vital to our mission of delivering on our vision to partner with customers to create a more sustainable world.
Your day involves adhering to strict safety standards and regulations while operating heavy trucks along designated routes. You will interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and supervisors, ensuring every route is serviced efficiently. Beyond driving, you play a key role in vehicle safety by performing daily pre- and post-operation inspections, completing vehicle condition reports, and ensuring the truck is operationally ready at all times. You will also monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and work areas.
