About the Role
This position is based in East Syracuse, NY, and focuses on the safe and effective delivery and pickup of containers at customer locations. You will be the face of PODS during these interactions, responsible for maintaining excellent rapport with customers while ensuring every delivery and pickup is incident-free. The role involves operating a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers, as well as utilizing forklifts or overhead cranes when necessary. Beyond driving, you will coordinate rental paperwork and payments, perform necessary container inspections and minor repairs, and maintain the cleanliness and readiness of your vehicle. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the Driver Lead and Market Manager to resolve customer questions and ensure business needs are met.
Hiring Process
Candidates who meet the qualification standards, including holding a valid CDL Class B License and meeting DOT requirements, will be invited to participate in our recruitment process. Successful applicants will be required to attend a mandatory 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program before beginning their duties.
