This part-time position is responsible for the delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations. The role focuses on providing an effective, incident-free service while maintaining excellent rapport with customers. You will operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to safely load and unload containers at customer sites, adhering strictly to all safety protocols.
Your day involves driving and operating a commercial truck, performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift, and using a company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation. You will coordinate rental paperwork and payments with customers, communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding any issues, and prepare necessary driver notes. The role also requires cleaning and inspecting containers to ensure they are presentable, performing field repairs on containers and lifts when needed, and maintaining a clean truck cab. Occasionally, you may perform backup duties for storage center functions or accept add-on deliveries to meet business needs.
Candidates must be available to attend the required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program. For any questions pertaining to this job posting, please contact the PODS Recruiting Team at Recruiting@pods.com.
