TeamQRT Group has been delivering Thomas Built School Buses since 1980. As a specialized OTR bus transport company, we operate differently than traditional driveaway firms. We focus on a collaborative team environment where drivers travel in groups of 3–5, with one driver per vehicle, to deliver buses throughout the U.S. and Canada.
This is an Over-The-Road (OTR) Independent Contractor position (1099) focused on driving new Thomas Built School Buses. You will not be a company driver or owner/operator; instead, you will join a convoy to transport vehicles from our hub in High Point, NC, to various delivery locations.
The role requires a professional, courteous demeanor and the ability to work seamlessly within a team. Drivers are responsible for the condition of the vehicle during transport and must coordinate with a Lead Driver before each trip departs. While the schedule is flexible as a non-forced dispatch company, you must commit to at least one trip per month to remain active. The position involves multi-day road stays depending on drop-off locations, with a requirement to return to High Point, NC, as a group after delivery.
Candidates must attend an in-person onboarding session in High Point, NC. The process includes a local road test and a review of your driving history. Please note that Uber, Lyft, and ride-share experience do not count toward the required OTR CMV or School Bus driving experience. Applicants with a completed SAP program must be at least 7 years clear of completion to be considered. Any accidents in the last three years must be supported by an accident report before your application can be processed.
