About the Team
TeamQRT Group has been delivering Thomas Built School Buses since 1980. As an Over-The-Road (OTR) bus transport company, we operate differently than traditional driveaway firms. We are a non-forced dispatch organization, meaning drivers have the autonomy to choose when they want to drive with us.
Our Group Drivers typically travel in convoys of 3–5 drivers, with one driver per vehicle. These groups transport new buses from our hub in High Point, NC, to delivery locations across the U.S. and Canada. After completing a delivery, the group travels back to the pick-up location together.
About the Role
This is an Independent Contractor position focused on driving new Thomas Built School Buses. The role requires staying on the road for multiple days depending on drop-off locations. Drivers must be prepared to work in a team setting, sharing workload and responsibilities with fellow drivers, and are required to check in with the Lead Driver before each trip departs.
As an Independent Contractor, you are responsible for the condition of each vehicle during transport and will be held accountable for any damages incurred. Success in this role requires punctuality for both pick-up and drop-off locations, as well as the ability to complete and submit all necessary paperwork for payout. To remain active, drivers must complete at least one trip per month.
Hiring Process & Application
All candidates must attend an in-person onboarding session in High Point, NC. Applicants with a completed SAP program must be at least 7 years clear of completion to be considered. Any accidents reported within the last 3 years must be supported by an accident report before the application can be processed.
Culture & Values
We value professionalism and courtesy at all times. Drivers are expected to maintain accurate daily DOT Driver Logs using the MOTIVE app, as paper logs are not accepted. We foster a team environment where drivers collaborate to ensure safe and efficient transport of our vehicles.
