About the Team

TeamQRT Group has been delivering Thomas Built School Buses since 1980. As a specialized OTR bus transport company, we operate differently than traditional driveaway firms. We pride ourselves on being a non-forced dispatch organization, allowing drivers the autonomy to choose when they want to drive with us.

About the Role

We are seeking Independent Contractor drivers to transport new Thomas Built School Buses in organized groups of 3–5 vehicles, with one driver per bus. Based out of High Point, NC, you will deliver these vehicles to various locations across the U.S. and Canada. This is a true Over-The-Road (OTR) position, not local or regional, often requiring multiple days on the road depending on the delivery destination.

You will travel as a cohesive unit, checking in with a Lead Driver before each departure and returning to the pick-up location together as a group after completing a delivery. Success in this role requires professionalism, punctuality for both pick-ups and drop-offs, and the ability to share responsibilities within the team environment. You will be responsible for the condition of the vehicle during transport and must ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time to facilitate payout.

Hiring Process & Application

To join the team, you must attend an in-person onboarding session in High Point, NC. A local road test is required for candidates with spotless reports. Please note that ride-share driving (Uber, Lyft) does not count toward the required experience. Applicants with a completed SAP program must be at least 7 years clear of completion to be considered, and any accidents in the last 3 years must be supported by an official accident report before processing can begin.

Culture & Benefits

We value our drivers' independence and well-being. As an Independent Contractor, you are not a company driver or owner/operator. We provide transportation from the drop-off location back to High Point, NC, and cover lodging and fuel costs while you are active on a trip. Drivers delivering to Canada earn an additional $0.02 per mile plus a $125 bonus at the end of the trip. We also offer same-day pay (subject to requirements), referral bonuses, and clean inspection bonuses.
