About the Role
The Driver, Trainee Component position is designed for those ready to take their CDL-A career further. In this role, you will learn the essential functions of a Driver, including the accurate and timely distribution of products to various customer locations. As a Trainee, you will gain exposure to warehouse and other operational functions as part of your developmental process to become a full McLane Driver.
Your day will involve riding and training with a Driver Trainer to various destinations, gaining knowledge of commercial driving regulations while observing expert skills in starting engines, approaching intersections, making turns, backing, and maneuvering vehicles on the road and customer premises. You will assist in unloading trailers and delivering products, ensuring on-time delivery of undamaged goods while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a safety-focused, reliable, adaptable, and dedicated mindset to move America forward together.
