About the Role
As a Driver Trainee, you will learn the essential functions of the Driver job, including the accurate and timely distribution of products to various customer locations. This position is designed as a developmental process where you gain exposure to warehouse and other operational functions while preparing to become a fully certified McLane Driver.
You will ride and train with a Driver Trainer, gaining knowledge of commercial driving regulations and observing skills in starting engines, approaching intersections, making turns, backing, parking, and maneuvering vehicles on the road and customer premises. Your day-to-day involves maneuvering tractors, inspecting equipment for defects, operating handheld devices to document deliveries, and assisting with unloading and delivering products. You will also provide customer service by ensuring on-time delivery of undamaged goods and handling returns or credits.

Requirements
