About the Role
The Driver, Trainee Component position is designed to learn the essential functions of the Driver job, including the accurate and timely distribution of products to various customer locations. As a Trainee, you will gain exposure to warehouse and other operational functions as part of the developmental process of becoming a McLane Driver.
You will ride and train with a Driver Trainer, observing skills in starting the engine, approaching intersections, making turns, backing, parking, and maneuvering the vehicle on the road and on customer premises. This role requires you to be safety-focused, reliable, adaptable, and dedicated. You will assist in unloading trailers, delivering products, and providing customer service, ensuring on-time delivery of undamaged goods and handling product returns.
