We are seeking experienced Company Drivers to operate our fleet out of our Obetz, OH yard, with plans to expand to a future terminal in the same location. This is a full-time W-2 position where we provide the truck at no cost to you. All equipment is company-owned, well-maintained, and consists of 2020 newer sleeper trucks. Drivers may take their equipment home if they have secure parking available.
You will be servicing 47 states, excluding California. During winter months, we aim to avoid the Northwest states to ensure safety and efficiency. The role is built on customer needs rather than dedicated routes, though we are actively working to build more dedicated opportunities through our sister logistics company. The freight is primarily drop-hook, no-touch.
Your schedule generally involves being out for two weeks at a time. While dispatch is force-based, we strive to be flexible to accommodate your need for home time and specific schedules. Success in this role requires being super organized and highly communicative.
We offer competitive compensation designed for fair mileage rates, including low mileage add-ons. We provide $25 per hour in detention pay after the first two hours at a facility and $200 per day for any breakdown or maintenance occurring on the road. There is a maximum weekly cap of $1,000. If you are working on an observed holiday, you will receive an additional $0.50 on top of your regular revenue.
As a full-time employee, you will receive comprehensive benefits including a 401(k) with company contribution, medical coverage through Cigna, and vision and dental coverage through Principal. We also offer paid time off and holidays off. Additionally, we have pet passenger policies in place for our drivers.
To join our team, candidates must meet specific safety and experience standards. We require a minimum of three years of CDL A experience and must be between the ages of 25 and 75 (due to insurance regulations). Your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must show less than one moving violation in the last two years, and you must have no Drug Test (DT) failures or Controlled Substance (CH) violations in the last 15 years.
We value organization and communication above all else. By partnering with our logistics sister company, we are committed to growing dedicated opportunities for our drivers while maintaining a supportive environment that prioritizes equipment reliability and driver safety.
