US Foods is one of the largest food distributors in the industry, known for a culture and history of promoting from within. We provide excellent training programs and maintain a continuous improvement focus. Our mission is to help customers "Make It" with products and services that shape the communities where we live and work.
Great drivers are crucial to the US Foods team and serve as one of the important faces of our organization. On and off the road, our drivers strive for integrity and reliability while building trusting relationships with customers. This role is designed for those who want to build a career with a company that values its associates and offers opportunities for skilled, forward-thinking individuals.
As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our organization at customer locations. You will safely drive trucks to meet scheduled delivery times, unload products using equipment such as a two-wheeler or pallet jack, and verify delivery accuracy with customers. Beyond the logistics, you will handle collections when applicable and perform professional customer service responsibilities to enhance the client experience. You will also conduct all necessary pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
At US Foods, we believe in helping our drivers make it just as much as we help our customers. The foundation of our efforts lies in our cultural beliefs, which define our work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service. We are committed to Total Rewards that respect and reward our associates for their dedication and hard work. This includes a strong safety culture, excellent local leadership, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance.
To apply, candidates must meet specific Department of Transportation requirements. All drivers are required to register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a secure online database that provides real-time information about commercial driver's license holders' drug and alcohol program violations. Registration is mandatory before starting; please visit the FMCSA website to complete this step.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid CDL Class A issued by their state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. While the ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred, it may be required in specific locations. Fluency in English is required to communicate effectively, understand traffic signals, and complete necessary reports.
US Foods is committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability. We strive to create an environment where every associate can thrive.
