US Foods is one of the largest food distributors in the industry, known for a culture and history of promoting from within. We offer excellent training programs and maintain a continuous improvement focus. Our mission is to help customers "Make It" with products and services that shape the communities where we live and work. Great drivers are crucial to our team and serve as one of the important faces of our organization, striving for integrity and reliability while building trusting relationships with customers.
As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of US Foods on the road. You will safely drive trucks to customers, ensuring scheduled delivery times are met. Your day involves carefully unloading products using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, and placing them in designated storage areas. You will verify delivery accuracy with customers, obtain proper signatures, and handle collections when applicable.
Beyond the road, you will perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections and professionally execute customer service responsibilities to enhance the client experience. This role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively and the comfort to drive and work in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops.
At US Foods, we believe in helping our drivers make it just as much as we help our customers. We are committed to Total Rewards that respect and reward our associates for their dedication and hard work. Our culture is defined by our work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service. We offer a strong safety culture, excellent local leadership, and a career path built on opportunity for skilled, forward-thinking associates.
To apply, candidates must meet specific Department of Transportation requirements. All drivers are required to register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a secure online database that provides real-time information about CDL and CLP holders' drug and alcohol program violations. If you have not yet registered, you must visit the FMCSA website to complete this step before proceeding.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age with a valid CDL Class A issued by their state of legal residence, including necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months in the food and/or beverage delivery industry is required. Additionally, candidates must be able to read and communicate in English to understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and maintain records.
US Foods is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can succeed.
