About the Role
The Catholic Mass Musician serves as a vital musical leader at the Keesler AFB Catholic Chapel in Biloxi, MS. This position exists to enhance the spiritual experience of the congregation by providing high-quality instrumental and accompaniment music during worship services and rehearsals.
In this role, you will support the liturgy by playing piano and/or organ for congregation singing and choral selections. The ideal candidate is proficient on a secondary instrument, such as guitar or bass guitar, and possesses the versatility to read sheet music or accompany using basic improvisation skills. A deep familiarity with the essential teaching and religious practices of the Roman Catholic Church is required to ensure that all musical contributions align with the liturgical needs of the chapel.
