About the Role
The Catholic Musician serves as a vital liturgical leader within the Great Lakes, IL community, providing musical support for Sunday services of worship and special religious ceremonies. This role is dedicated to enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of the congregation through the performance of sacred music appropriate for the Roman Catholic Mass.
In this position, you will lead volunteer choirs in both Chapels, ensuring that musical elements align with the liturgical needs of the service. You will also provide instrumental accompaniment as directed by the Roman Catholic priest and conduct music for Command Memorial Services as needed. The role requires a deep understanding of various sacred musical genres to support the diverse styles found in Roman Catholic worship.
