This position provides essential administrative and program coordination support for Catholic Religious Education (RE) programs at Fort Sill. Working from the Grierson Hill Chapel, the role serves as a vital link between the Catholic Priest, the Director of Religious Education (DRE), and the Religious Support Office. The primary mission is to facilitate religious education, sacramental preparation, and seasonal faith programs in strict adherence to Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) and Army policies.
The role operates on a flexible schedule that varies according to the Religious Education calendar, often requiring availability during evenings and weekends. Day-to-day activities involve managing the logistical backbone of the program, from preparing and distributing monthly calendars to coordinating facility reservations and event logistics. The incumbent will also handle the stewardship of curriculum materials, track attendance data, and manage the critical task of collecting and entering sacramental documentation into the AMS portal.
Candidates must be able to obtain AMS Catechist Certification within 90 days of contract award. The selection process prioritizes individuals with experience supporting religious education or faith-based programs, particularly within a military context. Applicants should demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
We are committed to working respectfully in a pluralistic military environment. All qualified applicants are considered regardless of background.
