This position serves as the administrative backbone of May River High School, providing comprehensive support to the Principal, department heads, and administrative personnel. The role is designed to ensure the smooth daily operation of the school by managing communications, student records, and logistical coordination. It is a dynamic position that requires a proactive approach to creating a positive, helpful, and caring environment for teachers, staff, and students.
The incumbent acts as the first point of contact for the school, managing the flow of visitors, volunteers, and correspondence. Beyond general office duties, this role plays a critical part in the Guidance department, handling student enrollment, withdrawals, and permanent records. The position also extends into the Athletic department, managing website content, coach paperwork, and the district dinner program for student-athletes. Additionally, the role supports the school's testing operations and maintains strict confidentiality regarding sensitive student and employee data in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
