Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssist cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- check_circleOperate and troubleshoot cath lab imaging and fluoroscopy equipment
- check_circleMaintain strict sterile technique and radiation safety standards during procedures
- check_circleMonitor and document patient hemodynamic status before, during, and after procedures
- check_circlePrepare rooms, supplies, and instruments for scheduled cardiac cases
- check_circleCollaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure coordinated patient care
- check_circleDocument procedures accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- check_circleEducate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure expectations
- check_circleParticipate in quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives
- check_circleRespond to emergencies including STEMI events and code situations in the cath lab
Requirements
- verifiedARRT (R) certification
- verifiedRCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) preferred
- verifiedState radiologic technologist license (if applicable)
