About the Role
As a Casino Cashier, you will be the face of our video poker game room, playing a vital role in delivering friendly and efficient service to our guests. Your position is central to the customer experience, ensuring that every interaction is welcoming and that all cash transactions are handled with precision and integrity.
In this role, you will manage your assigned cash bank in strict accordance with company policies, maintaining organized contents for seamless shift changes. Beyond financial duties, you will be responsible for upholding a clean and inviting environment, ensuring the availability of fresh food and beverages, and actively promoting special casino promotions to enhance the guest experience. You will also assist customers in understanding game mechanics, handling inquiries, and resolving complaints with professionalism.
Hiring Process & Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet specific state and local regulatory requirements. You must be at least 21 years old and possess a clear background check with no felonies or misdemeanors related to theft or gaming violations.
Successful applicants must hold valid certifications and licenses, including:
- State of Louisiana Video Poker Permit
- Alcohol Beverage Ordinance Card (by Parish)
- Louisiana Responsible Vendors Permit
- Valid State Identification card or driver's license
- Copy of Social Security Card
The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Strong basic language and mathematical skills, along with the ability to follow instructions and maintain punctuality, are essential.
