Cashiers serve as the frontline of our customer service, delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe experiences. Your role involves processing checkout and return transactions while actively monitoring and maintaining the Self-Checkout area. Beyond transaction processing, you will proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities, all while adhering to policies that minimize shrink.
The Head Cashier acts as a key support figure, positioning Cashiers effectively and expediting critical tasks such as price checks, Point of Sale approvals, and markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, the Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. This role serves as the first level of escalation for customer issues. Additionally, the Head Cashier plays a vital part in team development by supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates, including leading the training of new Cashiers and utilizing available tools to foster growth.
Candidates for the Head Cashier position are preferred to have at least one year of prior Cashier experience.
