Cashiers serve as the frontline of our customer service, delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe experiences. This role is essential for processing checkout and return transactions while actively monitoring and maintaining the Self-Checkout area. Beyond transaction processing, Cashiers are expected to proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities, all while adhering to policies that minimize shrink.
The Head Cashier acts as a key support figure, positioning Cashiers effectively and expediting critical tasks such as price checks, POS transaction approvals, and markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, the Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. This role serves as the first point of escalation for customer issues. Additionally, the Head Cashier plays a vital part in team development by supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates, including the onboarding of new Cashiers and utilizing available tools to foster their growth.
Candidates for the Head Cashier position are preferred to have at least one year of prior Cashier experience.
