Position Purpose
Cashiers serve as the frontline of our customer service, delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe experiences. This role is essential for maintaining smooth operations at checkout and return points, ensuring every interaction leaves a positive impression.
About the Role
As a Cashier, you will process transactions, manage returns, and monitor the Self-Checkout area to assist shoppers. You are expected to proactively learn product details to provide helpful information and identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience. A key part of your mission is adhering to all policies and procedures to minimize shrink and maintain store integrity.
The Head Cashier acts as a vital support pillar for the team. In this capacity, you will position Cashiers effectively, expedite price checks, and approve Point of Sale transactions, markdowns, and special services across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, the Pro Desk, and Tool Rental. You will serve as the first point of escalation for customer issues and play a hands-on role in the supervision, coaching, and training of Front End Associates. This includes leading the training of new Cashiers and utilizing available tools to foster their professional development.
Qualifications
For the Head Cashier position, the preferred qualification is at least one year of prior Cashier experience.
