This position is designed for alert individuals with good balance and physical strength to support critical concrete operations. The role involves operating motorized equipment, including power tools and saws, and assisting in the pouring of concrete. Team members will install shoring per instructions and quickly learn to assist with formwork installations and removal. A fundamental requirement for success is the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
The work environment is dynamic and often outdoors, requiring adaptability to inclement weather. Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or heat, as well as noise and dust inherent to construction operations. The physical nature of the job includes frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials up to 50 pounds (or up to 90 pounds with assistance), alongside constant movement such as walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
Qualified candidates with a minimum of 12 months of formwork or concrete construction experience as a Carpenter are preferred. Applications are reviewed based on performance expectations and relevant trade experience.
