As a Carpenter at Six Mile, LLC, you will be the backbone of our maintenance operations in Kodiak, AK. You will perform essential carpentry duties to maintain building woodwork and equipment, ensuring the safety and functionality of our facilities. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of construction and repair tasks, ranging from hanging doors and installing countertops to building frameworks, stairways, and concrete forms. You will also handle specialized tasks such as replacing windows, installing thermo-panes, and repairing garage doors.
This role requires more than just technical skill; it demands adaptability. You will work in diverse environments, often under inclement weather conditions or in remote sites, and may be required to be on call on a rotational basis. Success in this position relies on your ability to plan and lay out work from blueprints or verbal instructions, communicate effectively via radio, and maintain a positive attitude while navigating the physical demands of manual labor in sometimes uncomfortable situations.
