About the Role
As a Carpenter, you will perform essential duties to maintain building woodwork and equipment in good repair, including bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, and doors. This role requires planning and laying out work based on blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions. You will utilize a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments to execute tasks, perform standard shop computations regarding dimensions, and select necessary materials.
The position involves maintaining and repairing buildings, grounds, and related facilities, ensuring a wide variety of engines and mechanical equipment remain in efficient operating condition. Success in this role demands rounded training and experience, typically acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent background.
Hiring Process & Requirements
Candidates must possess an active Top Secret SCI with CI Poly clearance. The application process requires a High School diploma or equivalent, along with 5+ years of related experience as a craft worker. Certification in the assigned area may be required. Consideration will be given to relevant professional experience commensurate with the assignment.
