About the Role
As a Carpenter, you will perform essential duties to maintain building woodwork and equipment in good repair, including bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, and doors. This role requires you to plan and lay out work based on blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions. You will utilize a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments to execute tasks, while performing standard shop computations to determine dimensions and selecting necessary materials.
The position demands rounded training and experience, typically acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent background. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing buildings, grounds, and related facilities, ensuring they remain in efficient operating condition.
