As a Life Skills Trainer/Caregiver in Iowa City, you will carry out rewarding work and play a crucial role in the success of our organization. This part-time position focuses on overnights (11p - 7a) and offers a dynamic work environment where no day is ever the same as the next.
In this role, you will provide training, assistance, and supervision to individuals receiving care in the areas of living skills and therapeutic recreation within both residential and community settings. Your day-to-day impact includes assisting with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication administration. You will also facilitate working relationships between employers and individuals served, supporting community involvement by accompanying them on outings or providing transportation to work and other activities. Additionally, you will work closely with clinical staff to support established therapeutic and behavioral plans.
