As a Direct Support Professional, you will be the backbone of our residential programs in Amarillo, TX. Your primary purpose is to support 4 to 6 individuals in their daily lives, helping them achieve their personal goals and maintain their independence. This role is about more than just completing tasks; it is about building trust and fostering a sense of community.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of activities tailored to each individual's service plan. You might assist with personal care and medication administration, prepare meals according to specific dietary needs, or accompany individuals to medical appointments. You will also facilitate socialization, recreational activities, and community integration, such as shopping or attending local events. Whether you are helping someone learn a new skill, managing their personal assets, or ensuring a safe and clean living environment, your work directly impacts the quality of life for the people you serve.
