As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions, enabling individuals to remain safely in their own homes. This role is about more than just tasks; it is about connecting with clients and growing together. You will be the steady presence that allows clients to maintain their independence and dignity.
Your day will involve assisting clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, as well as supporting mobility with canes, walkers, or wheelchairs. You may also accompany clients to medical appointments or run essential errands. For those in specific regions, the role includes live-in or sleep-over shifts where you secure the home and provide reassurance during nighttime hours. You will also assist with meal preparation, record vital signs when ordered, and ensure a clean, safe environment using equipment like side rails or Hoyer lifts.
Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment. We look for individuals with a current driver's license, vehicle insurance, or access to reliable public transportation. While CPR certification is preferred, it can be completed within 90 days of hire.
UnitedHealth Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status. We are committed to a drug-free workplace.
