As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions, enabling individuals to remain safely in their own homes. You will be part of a team that challenges you to succeed while offering clear direction and development opportunities for future roles.
Your day will involve building trust with clients by assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. You may also accompany clients to medical appointments or run essential errands. In live-in or sleep-over positions (where applicable), you will secure the client's home and provide reassurance during nighttime hours. You will also prepare meals according to the client's dietary needs and maintain a clean, safe environment using equipment like wheelchairs or Hoyer lifts as directed.
