This position is designed for a dedicated professional to provide direct support within a residential setting or periodic program in South East Nashville, TN. You will be the backbone of daily life for the individuals you serve, fostering their growth and independence through personalized care. Your day will involve partnering with individuals to navigate their unique service plans, assisting with everything from personal care and medication administration to socialization and community integration.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will help individuals exercise their rights, maintain their health, and engage in recreational activities. Whether you are preparing meals according to specific dietary needs, accompanying individuals to medical appointments, or ensuring a safe and clean living environment, your role is vital to their well-being. You will work closely with families, guardians, and case managers to build healthy, professional relationships that support the individual's journey toward a fulfilling life.
Candidates must possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license for at least one year. The hiring process includes a background check, drug screening, and verification of driving records. All new hires must complete state-mandated training and certifications within the required timeframes. We also require cooperation with Department of Human Services staff during any inspections or inquiries.
