As a Caregiver at REM West Virginia, you will join a mission-driven team where every person deserves a fulfilling career. This role involves developing real, meaningful relationships with individuals you serve, including those with autism and similar conditions.
You will be entrusted with ownership and trust to do what is right for participants. Your day-to-day responsibilities include supporting individuals with developmental goals such as budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition. You will also assist with personal hygiene, eating, dressing, and toileting, while helping participants engage in community activities and enjoy their favorite pastimes. Success in this role requires patience, compassion, and the ability to stay calm and problem-solve in stressful situations.
