About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional, you will be the backbone of a residential program, supporting 4 to 6 individuals in their daily lives. Your day will be filled with purpose, ranging from assisting with personal care and medication administration to fostering socialization and community integration. You will help individuals exercise their rights, manage their assets, and pursue their personal goals, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and empowered. Whether you are preparing meals, accompanying someone to a medical appointment, or simply sharing a moment of connection, your work directly contributes to a life well-lived.
Hiring Process
Candidates must possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license held for at least one year. The hiring process includes a background check, drug screening, and verification of driving records. Selected candidates will complete mandatory state training and certifications before beginning their shift. Please note that this role requires a valid driver's license in good standing; if driving privileges are lost, the employee may be restricted from driving on behalf of the company.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDeliver direct support including socialization, health maintenance, and behavioral development per individual plans
- check_circlePrepare meals according to dietary plans and support individuals in food preparation
- check_circleAssist individuals with daily activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and recreational activities
- check_circleAdminister medications and monitor individual health status while reporting incidents as required
- check_circleMaintain a clean and safe living environment by performing housekeeping and minor repairs
- check_circleTransport individuals to community activities and medical appointments while ensuring safety
- check_circleAccurately document progress, maintain records, and ensure confidentiality of client information
Requirements
- verifiedValid, unrestricted driver's license for at least 1 year
