The Career Interviewer Outreach Specialist plays a vital role in the WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) program by scheduling and conducting virtual career interviews for subminimum wage employees across the state of Wisconsin. This position serves as a primary point of contact for guardians, family members, and vocational providers, ensuring consistent and coordinated service delivery.
In this role, you will provide career counseling, resources, and referrals while managing all interview logistics, including coordinating necessary disability accommodations. The position requires a high degree of adaptability to work within a fast-paced environment, balancing remote work with occasional travel to in-person events. You will uphold the ethics of your discipline while ensuring all activities comply with grant requirements and university, state, and federal policies.

Experience in career and disability counseling and direct service delivery with people with disabilities, including intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferably with adults and their families. Excellent interpersonal, written, virtual, and verbal communication skills with diverse populations, including those with varying communication styles and abilities.
