At Saint Louis University Hospital, our mission extends beyond a standard career; it is a calling. As part of the Care Partners team, you play a vital role in the hospital's commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our community. You will work alongside Registered Nurses, physicians, and ancillary staff to ensure the seamless functioning of the nursing unit, supporting patients through their most vulnerable moments.
Care Partners are the backbone of bedside care, responsible for meeting the basic physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment where every interaction matters.
Your day will be a dynamic blend of direct patient care and essential unit coordination. You will assist with everything from hygiene and mobility to specialized procedures like wound care and specimen collection. Beyond the bedside, you serve as a vital communication hub, managing unit clerical duties, transcribing orders, and ensuring the accurate flow of information between patients, families, and the medical team. Whether you are rounding with purpose, resolving service issues, or maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, your work directly impacts patient satisfaction and recovery.
We believe in service excellence, defined by timely, high-quality care delivered with courtesy and respect. As a Care Partner, you are expected to demonstrate accountability, collaborate across departments, and actively participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care we provide. We foster a culture of continuous learning, encouraging staff to engage in mandatory training, competency evaluations, and educational programs to grow professionally.
Saint Louis University Hospital is dedicated to creating a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, families, and employees. We adhere to strict safety and infection control policies, ensuring that every team member is equipped to handle the unique challenges of healthcare with confidence and care.
Saint Louis University Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to providing a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
