This position serves as a vital part of the Electrocardiography department at the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, Colorado. As an onsite team member, you will perform direct patient care, focusing on electrocardiograms (ECGs), stress testing, and cardiac monitoring. The role requires critical thinking and decisive judgment to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
In this role, you will review provider orders and perform ancillary tests, ensuring patients understand the procedures, equipment, and exams to foster cooperation. You will prepare equipment, position patients, and analyze results, identifying and resolving issues with tracing quality by re-positioning patients or repeating procedures as necessary. Additionally, you will monitor patient conditions, reporting changes in status or adverse results immediately, and maintain equipment in clean, working condition.
Beyond clinical duties, you will have the opportunity to assist in precepting new hires and student interns, contributing to the growth of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
