As an Echocardiographer at the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, you will provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care. This role involves performing various ultrasound procedures, reviewing patient history and physician orders, and scheduling exams. You will educate patients regarding procedures and equipment to ensure their understanding and cooperation, and when ordered, prepare and administer contrast media or medications within your scope of practice.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and positioning patients for imaging. You will analyze results to identify issues with image quality, implement safety standards, and perform quality control procedures on equipment. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions as necessary. This position offers the opportunity to model proficiency by precepting those new to imaging or the UCHealth system.
This is a Full Time position (0.9 FTE, 72.00 hours per pay period) working Days. The role is based at the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. Local traveler contract options are available for those residing within 75 miles, with 13-week assignments and extension options available.
