This position serves as a vital link in the peri-operative care continuum. You will be responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for surgical patients in accordance with established hospital policies and standards of care. Your day-to-day involves managing the care and services provided by ancillary and professional personnel, overseeing unit supplies and equipment, and maintaining a collaborative relationship with physicians and interdepartmental staff.
You will provide professional nursing care tailored to age-specific and cultural diversity needs, ensuring effective pain management and supporting patients presenting with evidence of abuse or neglect. Additionally, you will participate in marketing operating room services to the medical staff and maintain a competent peri-operative skill level to ensure the highest quality of care.
