About the Opportunity

Tenet Healthcare and Detroit Medical Center (DMC) are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join an established group of cardiologists serving the Detroit Medical Center health system. This full-time employed position offers a unique chance to practice within a vibrant, award-winning medical center that includes multiple adult hospitals, a freestanding pediatric hospital, and Level I and II Trauma Centers.

The Role and Environment

You will provide services primarily at Sinai Grace Hospital, with additional coverage for Harper Hospital and Detroit Receiving Hospital. The role involves required inpatient rounding, including ICU units, supported by two dedicated CT surgical PAs. You will share weekend and holiday call coverage for Level 1 Trauma Thoracic services with a group of two other cardiothoracic surgeons. The schedule is Monday through Friday, featuring 1-2 days of outpatient clinic work per week, with operating room time determined by case load and emergency room consults.\n The DMC practice is fully supported by in-house billing, coding, collections, website development, and marketing services, allowing you to focus on patient care. All DMC facilities offer easy access and free parking.
