About the Team
The South Texas VA Health Care System (STVHCS) in San Antonio, Texas, is home to the only nationally designated VA Heart Center. This unique facility unifies Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery under one service, offering a comprehensive environment for cardiovascular care. The department is supported by a growing team of interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, non-invasive cardiologists, RNs, techs, and APPs, all working within a dedicated Heart Center environment at one of the nation's fastest-growing VA hospitals.
About the Role
We are seeking two highly qualified Noninvasive Cardiologists to join our Cardiology Department. This role offers a rewarding clinical career focused on meaningful service to Veterans, combining inpatient and outpatient care with a strong emphasis on work-life balance. You will staff the cardiology clinic, rotate through CCU coverage and inpatient consults, and participate in the interpretation of echo and stress testing. The position includes opportunities to teach cardiology fellows and engage in research or academic activities, with no supervisory responsibilities required.
