The Capital Project Manager serves as the central architect for the site's growth and modernization, leading the planning, coordination, and execution of critical improvement initiatives. From facility expansions and security system integrations to the deployment of advanced manufacturing equipment, this role ensures that capital investments are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with industry and customer standards.
This position is essential for managing the annual site spending budget and driving strategic business growth. The Capital Project Manager acts as a collaborative bridge between key functional stakeholders—including Safety, Security, Environmental, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality—ensuring that every project aligns with the company's long-range goals while navigating complex regulatory landscapes.
Your work will be defined by a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on execution. You will facilitate capital investment projects from initial planning through sustainment, leveraging company infrastructure and design processes to bring ideas to life. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to developing integrated master schedules, managing risk registers, and maintaining accurate documentation for regulatory review.
You will lead project team meetings, often coordinating with outside contract support, to ensure work progresses according to plan. This involves interfacing directly with city agencies and regulators to move projects forward, while simultaneously working with internal teams to prioritize capital requests against the approved annual budget. The role demands daily autonomous decision-making to determine courses of action that secure desired results, often requiring you to interpret technical and contractual documents to remove ambiguity and keep momentum moving.
Candidates selected for this role will be expected to demonstrate the ability to obtain ATF approval to work with our products. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals with a proven track record in delivering medium-to-large scale capital projects within complex manufacturing environments.
This role requires a high level of cooperation across internal teams and with external stakeholders. We value a culture of collaboration where individuals can work effectively with outside contractors, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders. The position operates in a fast-paced environment where detailed orientation and strong organizational skills are vital to success.
This is a full-time, on-site position located at the manufacturing site. The role operates on a Monday-Thursday work week, consisting of four 10-hour days, with Fridays off. While the primary focus is on-site, the position may require travel on an as-needed basis and involves working in diverse settings and conditions.
