About the Role
Located in Seminole, Oklahoma, this Engineering Manager position serves as a vital link between engineering execution and strategic vision. You will lead, direct, and organize a team of engineers to design, develop, and improve new products and existing product lines. Beyond overseeing key projects, processes, and performance reports, you will personally perform engineering duties alongside your team.
In this role, you will formulate research and development proposals, selecting the correct design concepts and fundamental technologies for new products or improvements. You will manage the documentation system, approve feasible proposals for management consideration, and allocate department funds. Your leadership will extend to selecting, developing, training, and supervising staff, as well as implementing policies and procedures to monitor project progress and expenditures.
You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, operations, and quality managers to review and monitor quality and process improvements. This includes directing the review of production costs and product quality to maintain profitable operations, as well as reviewing operations and plans to meet sales planning requirements and develop new markets. Additionally, you will recommend budgets for staff, technology, and facility improvements and negotiate contracts with consulting firms to support research and studies.
