About the Opportunity
Saratech is seeking a highly skilled CAM Technical Manager (CTM) to serve as a critical bridge between developers, project managers, and the Center of Excellence (COE). In this role, you will manage projects from a technical perspective, ensuring success through creative problem-solving and solution development.
The CTM acts as the technical liaison, leading discovery calls with customers, facilitating project kick-offs, managing quoting processes, and providing strategic communication to the Project Management group. This position requires a professional who can navigate complex engineering landscapes while fostering collaboration across different organizational levels.
About the Role
As a CAM Technical Manager, you will drive the technical execution of prototype machining for large-scale, complex, precision metal aircraft components and manufacturing tooling. Your day-to-day involves developing and optimizing machining processes, including part setup, fixturing, tool selection, and the determination of speed and feed parameters.
You will be responsible for identifying and procuring appropriate tooling based on specific job requirements such as material, geometry, tolerances, and system rigidity. A key part of your mission is to develop standardized best practices for jobs and machining processes, continuously improving design and production efforts in close collaboration with the engineering team.
This is a full-time remote position requiring a dedicated workspace that allows for uninterrupted team and customer meetings. Success in this role demands rigorous attention to detail, pride in precise work, and the ability to maintain high-level responsibility and communication within a distributed environment.
