This Principal Manufacturing Engineer position is based in Andover, MA, supporting critical radar, integrated sensor, and effector programs. The role focuses on developing comprehensive manufacturing processes for 3D metal parts, bridging the gap between engineering design and production reality. You will define materials, develop work-holding solutions, and create multi-axis CNC machining programs to ensure high-quality output.
The position requires close collaboration with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines to drive process improvements, optimize CNC programs, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. You will serve as a technical expert, validating NC programs and mentoring teammates in cutting-edge machining methods while ensuring adherence to safety, cost, and schedule goals.
This role involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant time in and around factory areas. The environment is dynamic, demanding the ability to work effectively across disciplines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

5 Axis CNC programming experience. Competency in NX CAM supporting medium to complex CNC programs. Demonstrated working knowledge of Creo CAD/CAM Software. Process familiarity with paint, plating, and structural assembly. Innovative mindset for continuous improvement keeping pace with advancements in technology. Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines. GD&T certification. Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work in a team setting as well as individually. Self-motivated and results oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge and ability to apply CORE principles and techniques.
