You will join the Metrology Organization to perform precise calibration measurements and repair functions on electrical, electronic, physical, and mechanical reference and secondary standards. Your work ensures that equipment maintains traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the United States Navy, and other recognized national metrology institutes.
In this role, you will work with technical assistance and guidance initially, progressing to independent work with complete procedures as your expertise grows. You will inspect equipment to ensure suitability for calibration, troubleshoot minor issues, and perform calibration tasks in the laboratory or directly on Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). This includes calibrating a wide range of instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, and sensors for pressure, temperature, and vibration. You will also monitor laboratory standards, collect data for trend charts, and participate in government and commercial audits.
This is an onsite, full-time position located at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The schedule for this role is a 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules to provide flexibility, and this position falls within our standard benefits framework.

This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. While no clearance is required to apply, an interim Secret clearance is required prior to start.

Five years of experience calibrating Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment. Proven ability to function successfully in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer software applications. ASQ Certified Calibration Technician. Attended various training for Metrology, such as DOD PMEL or manufacturer training. Familiarity with following procedures and quality inspection verification.
