The Buyer Planner serves as a critical link between production, sourcing, suppliers, and inventory management at our Urbana, Ohio manufacturing facility. This role is designed to ensure smooth, uninterrupted production in a fast-paced, high-mix environment by balancing daily operational execution with longer-term planning decisions.
You will operate confidently on both the shop floor and in an office setting, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers regarding delivery commitments and material availability. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to proactively identify potential material shortages to initiate mitigation actions before they impact production schedules.
As a Buyer Planner, you will be part of a collaborative, operationally focused manufacturing organization. You will play a key role in keeping production running efficiently while gaining valuable exposure to planning, procurement, and supplier management.
