About the Role

The Buyer serves as a strategic leader responsible for the evaluation, selection, and purchasing of merchandise within their assigned categories. This role exists to exceed sales goals by leveraging a deep understanding of guest needs and market trends. You will partner with internal departments—including planning, social media, marketing, store operations, product development, and visual merchandising—to execute comprehensive strategies.

In this position, you will manage the entire product lifecycle, from creation and purchase order tracking to merchandising, markdowns, and discards. You will lead and develop Associate Buyers, Senior Assistant Buyers, and Assistant Buyers, fostering a high-performance team environment. Your day-to-day involves building merchandise assortments and business plans that align with consumer trends, analyzing sales data to drive margin, and expanding categories through exclusive product development.

The role requires significant travel to store locations to review product mixes and gather feedback, as well as attendance at trade shows and vendor locations to maintain professional relationships and gain insights into emerging trends.
