Brookdale is recognized by Newsweek in 2024 and 2025 as one of America's Greatest Workplaces for Diversity. We are dedicated to making lives better, including your own. Our culture is built on the belief that you can become your best possible self in an environment that supports your professional growth and overall health and wellness.
As a Business Office Manager, you will lead the business office operations of our community. This role is pivotal in supporting the Executive Director in driving profitable growth while ensuring strict compliance with operational processes and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for attracting, engaging, developing, and retaining the associates necessary to provide high-quality care and personalized services to our residents, all while optimizing labor efficiency.
Your day-to-day involves ensuring effective communication with associates, residents, families, vendors, and visitors. You will oversee critical financial functions, including ensuring residents are properly billed for services, leading the timely collection of receivables, managing the payroll process to ensure accurate associate compensation, and processing vendor invoices for timely payment. Additionally, you may directly supervise another department and play a key role in fostering an inclusive community culture.
We offer opportunities for advancement, with Business Office Managers exploring new career paths in positions such as Director of Financial Services, Human Resources Managers, and Executive Directors. Beyond a paycheck, you can find opportunities to grow your career through professional development and ongoing wellness programs.
We offer a comprehensive suite of benefits that vary by employment status. Full-time associates are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, company-provided life insurance, adoption benefits, disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, and tuition reimbursement. Hourly associates have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans, an associate assistance program, employee discounts, a referral program, and early access to earned wages (outside of CA). All associates may participate in the company's 401(k) program and access optional voluntary benefits such as ID theft protection, pet insurance, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance.
Brookdale is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace. We actively encourage applications from veterans, transitioning active duty military personnel, and military spouses. To support our associates in their journey to become U.S. citizens, Brookdale offers to advance fees for naturalization (Form N-400) application costs, up to $725, for qualified associates who have been with us for at least a year.
The application window is anticipated to close within 30 days of the date of the posting. Base pay in the range will be determined by the applicant's skills and experience.
