For those who want to put their love of pets into action, there are few jobs more rewarding than that of a Veterinary Assistant at Banfield Pet Hospital. While working closely with other pet health care professionals, you'll have the chance to advocate for pets and educate clients on all aspects of pet health. As a key member of the hospital team, you support and assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the safety of pets, clients, and associates while maintaining the continuity of quality veterinary care.
The Veterinary Assistant provides professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times, ensuring that clients and pets feel comfortable in the hospital. You will use your technical skills daily within state practice acts and NAVTA guidelines. Your role involves maintaining patient flow, communicating effectively with the veterinary team, setting up procedures, and adhering to hospital standards that keep treatment areas clean and organized. Additionally, you will educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans® and the importance of preventive care, while mentoring other members of the hospital team.
